About the Artist

Ulrike by trade is a custom tailor, undergoing three years of extensive training in Germany. After immigrating to the United States, over 30 years ago, lady fortune had a different idea about Ulrike’s career path. Here she entered the corporate world of medical billing and office management. Eventually leading her down the path of Human Resource and Operations management, in medical and non-profit industries. All the while earning degrees in Political Science and a Juris Masters to help her along the way. 

However, she never abandoned her love for color and design, using it in the meantime to create a welcoming and comfortable home for her family. After leaving the South Carolina Lowcountry and moving to the Upstate of South Carolina , with her husband a retired Air Force Master Sergeant, her creativity was reignited. Having left  the hustle and bustle of the larger metropole behind and having moved to a quaint setting, surrounded by woodlands and wildlife, she ventured full speed and headfirst back into a colorful and creative world. Learning about fluid art and jewelry making, leading ultimately to Ulrike Art Studio.  Her husband participates actively, not only supporting Ulrike's ideas with his woodworking skills but also can be found participating at local markets and events.
